One of Intelligent Training Solutions core beliefs is in transparency. We aim to be transparent in how we market our courses, how we recruit our staff, and how we run our business. In fact, we are proud to say that one of the most received comments our Administration Team gets is on how much information we provide to our clients.
A little while back we published a five-point checklist identifying steps you could take to safeguard yourself against dodgy training providers, this post can be found here: https://www.its.vic.edu.au/blog-post/contemplating-your-future-with-a-training-provider/
Today we would like to share a piece of information with you from the ACCC which adds to our core belief and provides you with knowledge, empowering you to demand more from your training providers.
As of the 01st September 2017 new regulations will come into effect making it illegal for small businesses to impose excessive payment surcharges on to their customers. From what we can establish, small businesses can only on-charge the credit card or payment fees that they received from their financial institute. It should be noted that these rules already exist for large (big) businesses. More information can be found on the ACCC website: https://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing-surcharging/payment-surcharges
We thought this to have been a 'no-brainer' for small businesses and training providers alike so you could imagine our surprise to find that this was a issue. We would love to hear your thoughts on the matter so leave a comment below.
