ABOUT THIS COURSE
Designed for parents, grandparents, guardians, carers, and other family members, our Paediatric first aid course, also known as our Caring for babies and kids first aid course is a non-accredited course developed to provide you with skills, knowledge, and peace of mind that when looking after infants or children, you will be able to assist them in an emergency situation. Designed to give parents and carers confidence to deliver first aid for common child-related injuries and illnesses, our course will teach you to provide emergency first aid for infant and child head injuries, baby allergic reactions, broken bones in babies and children, infant CPR, anaphylaxis in kids and much more.
Our trainers are a combination of qualified division 1 nurses who have worked in and out of emergency departments and childcare service workers in Melbourne’s major hospitals. During this 3-hour session, you will learn life-saving information that is beneficial to anybody looking after your baby or child in a non-professional manner.
PLEASE NOTE: This course is not designed to replace an accredited first aid course that is mandatory when working with children. If you are engaged in the education of children or paid childcare work, please visit our Provide first aid in an education and care setting course
